The campaign
I live in Olympia, WA, a beautiful little town on the south end of the Puget Sound. It’s an hour south of Seattle, two hours north of Portland and hour from skiing. It is a city rich with music and art and has great support for community.
Olympia is also a town of causes, from the beating heart earth drummers to the protesters who didn’t like army shipments moving the Port of Olympia to those who supported making Olympia a “Nuclear Free Zone”.
Well, believing in community, causes and beer what better than to get behind a cause that represents the history of the community. The Olympia Stubby.
So in these web based times I went out and started purchasing domain names: www.bringbackourstubby.com, www.bringbackourstubbies.com, www.olympiastubbies.com (currently the blog site and soccer team name (check the www.myspace.com/olympiastubbies site for more about that), www.olympiabrewing.com, and I soon hope to have www.olympiabrewingcompany.com.
Having two children the free time is limited so the process has been a little slow but I now have a site up and running and have been getting a good number of page views from it with only word of mouth marketing.
I have been researching petition sites to be able to gather a list of names to send to Pabst but have not been very impressed with what I have seen. I hope to have something up soon so that I can gather names and put it on the letter I hope to send to Pabst.

I’m with you 100%. I cherish my last Oly stubby that is proudly displayed with all my other Oly stuff. I scoured Seattle after I found out they wouldn’t be making more and found I had been beat to it by rabid Oly fans. I was lucky to have a few left so I saved them for special occasions and somehow showed enough restraint and didn’t drink the last one. But I’m ready for to get rid of that cherished artifact and replace it with a fresh stubby bound to be drank and replaced again. Bring Back Our Stubby!
